Many young adults in rural Ethiopia are educationally & economically disadvantaged due to armed conflicts, famine, and other humanitarian crises.

All students in the world deserve to pursue education. However, Ethiopia unfortunately has one of the lowest literacy rates in Africa and one of the highest student drop-out rates in the world. Zaf Foundation is committed to supporting students that are disadvantaged by preconditions.

Our vision is to give rural students in Ethiopia the resources to pursue education that will empower them to succeed in their communities. For decades young Ethiopians, who have experienced limited opportunities in their home country, had attempted to leave and start fresh somewhere abroad. For migrants these journeys mostly result in the horrifying conditions that we all witness on international migrant crisis news. Young people in Ethiopia must be assured of their right to have an opportunities to seek a fulfilling life at home.

Zaf Foundation is 501 (3) c tax exempt organization
